The volunteer programme is extended to 8 – 12 people. Beginning 2010, selected volunteers would be sent for a two-day training course on customer service and event management of debate tournaments prior to WUPID. The training will be conducted by H & G Strategic Communications Sdn. Bhd. Volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation upon completion of the championship.
The programme is opened to all Malaysian university students. To register please submit your resume and a cover letter expressing your interest to wupid@hngsc.com.
Testimonials
WUPID, the only debate tournament that made me feel wacky and stupid-but that’s only because I was surrounded by stupendously mind-bending speakers. Every debate I witnessed left me a profound wonderment: Will I ever get to be like that?
All in all, I had so much fun, learned a lot and met many unique individuals. I certainly can’t wait for the next WUPID

Universiti Putra MalaysiaVolunteering at WUPID was not only an eye-opening chance to be part of a global youth movement for peace, but a fantastic opportunity to learn – from the world-class debates watched, and working with an efficient organizing committee. Awesome on all levels. =)

Universiti Teknologi MARAI was a volunteer for WUPID in 2008 and it was a great experience for a first timer. I remember running around, back and forth and up and down for most of the time. Well, that is why we are called runners. Everything was always ‘hurry’ without any mistakes and delays. Things have to be in order and beforehand ready for the debaters such as to prepare the drinks and instant cleaning. Being a volunteer for such a great event was not only fun but I gained quite an experience. I learned to be more organised and making even quicker decisions. Being a runner for WUPID was like being in the shadows or even a marathon runner. I have to say, it was a fun and good experience to be working along with other people and most of all to see how debate brings people from different nations together.
