About Muhammad Yunus

Many are those who talk like the roar of the sea, but their arguments shallow and stale, like the rotting marshes.

How do get team member names?

  2. Confused says:

NUS won 6-3 (I thought there were 7 judges?) as CO.
Claudia Newman- Martin of ANU was Best Speaker.

I watched the debate and I’m very surprised, I thought it was between USU 1 and Monash 3, I would really appreciate if the decision could be elaborated. Strange motion and strange decision.

  3. Joe says:

Now you see, this is why you don’t live stream the Grand Final of a newish IV which is top heavy (a handful of awesome teams), and poorly adjudicated. Because when the adjudicators give an absurd result, your tournament looks like a joke (in other news, Praba won best speaker at Australs… lol, srly!)

And what does the Euro have to do with the theme of the tournament. I’d be keen to hear who the 6 were giving it to NUS… ugh

  4. Vi says:

    Hi,

Was wondering when tabs will be released (or if they’ll be released at all?) I’d like to see them soon, please. Thanks.

On a separate note, for what its worth, no matter what people who weren’t there gripe about, those of us who were there and experienced everything first hand are kind of proud of how the tournament went. The decisions were all justifiable. Debates are subjective. That’s the whole point. If there was a clear right and wrong answer, it would be a Maths or Science (even this can occasionally be subjective) competition, not a debate. Good job Yunus! :)
